Admissions Process
Admission PhilosophyThe mission of SCIS-HIS is to provide its students with the opportunities to pursue academic and personal excellence through a nurturing, international, community environment.
Application ProcessWe welcome you to apply for enrollment at Shanghai Community International School (SCIS) and Hangzhou International School (HIS). Our office operates a rolling admissions process and students are admitted throughout the year. The steps listed below will help guide you through the application process. Step.1 ApplicationProspective families can download a copy of the application below. Please ensure that you provide the necessary information listed below so that our admissions committee is not delayed in reviewing your application. Once the application is completed, mail or deliver it to any of our SCIS-HIS campuses. Online applications may be submitted directly to our admissions office. The non-refundable 2000 RMB application fee may be paid in cash, check or bank transfer.

Step 2: AcceptanceCompleted application are submitted to the admissions office and reviewed by the admissions committee. Applications normally take 3-5 working days to review before a decision about acceptance is made. Prospective families are notified with an acceptance letter by the school registrar if admission to SCIS-HIS is granted.
Step 3: EnrollmentA student may attend school 3 days after the receipt of payment has been confirmed through the finance office. The admissions office notifies the divisional principal and class placement is confirmed. Bussing may take up to 10 days to arrange through our transportation office.
